An Urge to Voters - Shaping the Future of Andhra Pradesh Together
As we stand on the brink of yet another election in Andhra
Pradesh, it's crucial to pause and reflect on the journey of our state over the
past decade. Every five years, a new government steps in, laden with promises
and aspirations. Yet, amidst the political churn, the heart of Andhra Pradesh
continues to ache with unresolved challenges.
Before Andhra Pradesh became a state, we were governed by
different leaders. However, the unjust partition inflicted a severe blow to our
state's integrity. We find ourselves in a distressing position with lack of a
proper capital, lacking in essential funds, infrastructure, and sorely missing
corporate entities that could fuel employment opportunities. From last five
years, Andhra Pradesh has grappled with the shadows of budget deficits,
staggering unemployment rates, dilapidated roads, and a shrinking space for
free speech. The dreams we envision for our state seem distant, buried under
the weight of these pressing issues.
As we approach the upcoming election in Andhra Pradesh, it's
crucial to reflect on the past five years under the leadership of Jagan's
government. In 2019, when Jagan sat on the throne, the state witnessed a
startling start to his governance, marked by actions that left many of us
disheartened.
From the abrupt demolition of buildings constructed with our
hard-earned tax money to the expulsion of corporations providing employment
opportunities to Andhra's youth, Jagan's decisions have left a trail of
devastation. Not stopping there, his administration dismantled the capital city
meticulously planned by the previous government, wasting the good reputation it
could have had. Financial mismanagement has become a hallmark of Jagan's
tenure, burdening the state with unlimited debt and soaring power bills, petrol
prices, and taxes. These burdens only add to the existing challenges of a state
grappling with the absence of a proper capital and equitable treatment.
His government mistreated businessmen, leading to a stagnant
economy with no circulation of money. Government employees endured delayed
salaries, a situation unseen in the past five years. Students were left without
fee reimbursements, adding to the scarcity of job opportunities. Under his
governance, students, teachers, and employees faced significant hardships.
Jagan's governance strategy revolves around accumulating debt, raising taxes
and bills, and offering freebies. His administration lacks efficiency,
resulting in immense suffering for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
His leadership mindset is deeply flawed, as he fails to
distinguish between political criticism and personal vendettas. He treats
everyone the same, regardless of their stance, and believes himself to be
infallible, almost like a god. With such a mindset, the people of our state can
never thrive.
In these past five years, due to a lack of effective
administration, he has failed to establish a proper capital. He rose to power
promising to secure special status for our state, but once in office, he
conveniently shifted the narrative. I recall seeing social media profiles
adorned with images of YSRCP leaders advocating for special status. However,
once in power, the conversation around special status mysteriously vanished. I
can't recall a single instance of him engaging with the public directly or
addressing the issues facing our state. There hasn't been a single live press
conference or public address. Every time he speaks, it feels scripted, which
speaks volumes about his lack of leadership and capability.
His MLAs consistently resort to foul language, often
targeting the personal lives of opposition members. There's a glaring lack of
dignity in their interactions, even when addressing including our respected
Chief Minister. Instead of focusing on the development of the state, their
press meets are filled with insults and low-level language. It's disheartening
to witness the absence of constructive dialogue and the constant retaliation
with baseless attacks.
Adding to the chaos, the people of Andhra Pradesh are
deprived of the right to choose the alcohol they consume. They are forced to
drink unpopular brands with questionable safety standards. Even if someone
desires to enjoy branded alcohol, the prices are exorbitantly high, almost ten
times more than in other states. It's indeed shameful that a leader who
promised to eradicate alcohol from the state is now perpetuating such
practices.
We, the people of Andhra Pradesh, deserve respect and dignity.
We deserve governance that uplifts us and allows us to live with pride in our
state. We need employment opportunities here so that we no longer have to leave
for cities like Hyderabad or Bangalore in search of jobs. To make this vision a
reality, we must vote wisely in the upcoming elections. Let's set aside
fanatical allegiances and caste equations and choose leaders who truly have our
best interests at heart.
As you prepare to exercise your democratic right on May
13th, I implore you to consider the future of our beloved Andhra Pradesh. Let's
not just cast votes; let's make informed decisions. Let's choose leaders who
prioritize the welfare of our state above all else. Leaders who have concrete
plans to uplift Andhra Pradesh from its current plight, leaders who are
committed to building a brighter, more prosperous future for all of us. As we
prepare to cast our votes, let's do so with wisdom and foresight, ensuring that
our voices are heard loud and clear for the betterment of Andhra Pradesh. The
power lies in our hands, Youth. Let's wield it wisely, with the conviction to
bring about real change. Together, let's shape the destiny of Andhra Pradesh
for the better.
With the excellent administrative skills of CBN and the
charisma and wealth creation mindset of Pawan Kalyan, we can entrust the state
to safer hands. Vote for TDP and Janasena. It's my heartfelt plea. You may be
new to this process, but remember, the future rests in your hands, and you have
the power to shape it, even if it's just for this one time. Please go and vote.
Let's cast our ballots on May 13th with utmost discernment, supporting parties
like TDP and Janasena, which champion the vision of a prosperous and
self-sufficient Andhra Pradesh. Together, let's strive for a better future, one
where our voices are heard, our rights respected, and our aspirations realized.
With hope for a brighter tomorrow,
Viswa Kandala.
