An Urge to Voters - Shaping the Future of Andhra Pradesh Together

Image
As we stand on the brink of yet another election in Andhra Pradesh, it's crucial to pause and reflect on the journey of our state over the past decade. Every five years, a new government steps in, laden with promises and aspirations. Yet, amidst the political churn, the heart of Andhra Pradesh continues to ache with unresolved challenges. Before Andhra Pradesh became a state, we were governed by different leaders. However, the unjust partition inflicted a severe blow to our state's integrity. We find ourselves in a distressing position with lack of a proper capital, lacking in essential funds, infrastructure, and sorely missing corporate entities that could fuel employment opportunities. From last five years, Andhra Pradesh has grappled with the shadows of budget deficits, staggering unemployment rates, dilapidated roads, and a shrinking space for free speech. The dreams we envision for our state seem distant, buried under the weight of these pressing issues. As we approa

At 10:30 PM, inside Vizianagaram's Leelamahal Theatre, it was a typical Saturday night. The second show screening of Rajinikanth's "Baba" was in progress. My dad, who worked as a booking clerk at the theater, had finished issuing tickets for the second show and was preparing to head home. The balcony section was almost full, and I found myself in the A row, watching the film for the third time that day. Earlier, I had already seen the morning show and the first show screening, and now, I was catching the second show. My dad approached me as he was getting ready to leave the theater, having finished his work for the night. He arrived while the movie was still playing and kindly asked if I would join him to head home. I responded, saying that I would come home after I'd finished watching the film. He looked at me with concern and asked, "Who will bring you home at midnight?" I confidently replied, "I'll just walk home." His expression gre

Destined Hearts: A Story of Love and Friendship

Varun and his world around him In the coastal city of Visakhapatnam, there lived a young boy named Varun. He entered the world as a consequence of an arranged marriage between a Telugu couple, in which their marriage was not based on shared interests or personal preferences but was imposed upon them by the force of their parents' desires. Despite lacking common interests and personal choice in their marriage, they embarked on a journey together, navigating the complexities of their relationship and embracing the responsibilities that came with it. From the earliest moments of his childhood, he was surrounded by an atmosphere surrounded with chaos and a delicate balance between love and affection. Growing up, Varun found himself navigating a world devoid of proper guidance. His young mind filled with dreams, but the lack of parental support left him searching for direction in a vast sea of uncertainty. The attention he longed for from his parents seemed out of reach,

The Left, The Right and the Common-Sense

Image
In a world characterized by diverse perspectives and ideologies, it is inevitable that people will hold different opinions on various issues. This ideological spectrum is often divided into two major camps, the left and the right. While both sides contribute valuable insights and ideas to the discourse, it is crucial to emphasize the importance of common sense and moderation in navigating the complexities of our ever-changing society. Extremism, regardless of ideological affiliation, only leads to chaos. While adhering to an ideology is natural, an excessive attachment to rigid positions blinds us to alternative perspectives and potential solutions. Embracing common sense allows us to challenge our own beliefs, engage in constructive debate, and find common ground that benefits society as a whole. I'd like to discuss a few situations in which, in my opinion, common sense should take over ideology. The situation regarding the restriction on women entering the Sabarimala temple

Birthdays Then and Now

Image
Every person treasures their birthday. The only day when everyone pays attention on you makes you feel very special. The way of celebration varies from person to person, and with time, people's perspectives on birthdays have changed. Like everyone else, I used to wait entire year for that particular day when I was a child and assumed I would get the same treatment as all of my friends. I had the same desires as everyone else: a cake, presents, a new outfit, and attention. Then, when the day finally arrived, I was always disappointed as I hardly ever received what I had wished for. The concept of affordability hit me hard later when I start growing up.   I hardly remember cutting a cake throughout my childhood. I never distributed chocolates to my friends, and all the other teachers roaming all the school taking help of my friend. Lucky me, never have to do anything like that as I was born in April and the month belongs to summer holidays. I never got any presents or gifts on my b
